Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
On arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met and transferred to Arusha for your overnight stay. Settle in, rest after your journey, and prepare for the exciting safari ahead. Additional airport assistance and Arusha accommodation can be arranged according to your travel schedule.
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti
Your family will depart Arusha around 6:00–7:00 am, traveling toward Serengeti National Park. After arriving at the park entrance, allow time for entry formalities before continuing into Central Serengeti. Check-out will normally be completed the following day before leaving the park. Watch for lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, leopards, and other plains wildlife. Around 5:45–6:00 pm, drive to your Central Serengeti accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Serengeti to Ndutu
After breakfast, begin a morning game drive through Serengeti, followed by further wildlife viewing in the afternoon. Later, drive toward the park exit to complete check-out before continuing to Ndutu Area. If time allows, enjoy a late-evening game drive. During calving season, look for wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, jackals, and other predators before heading to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Ndutu Full Day
Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation, then set out for a full-day Ndutu game drive with a packed lunch. The calving season can provide excellent opportunities to observe wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other wildlife around the short-grass plains. Your guide can adjust the route according to animal activity and family comfort. Around 5:30–6:00 pm, return to your Ndutu accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Day 4: Ndutu to Ngorongoro Rim/Karatu
After an early breakfast, start your Ndutu game drive around 6:20 am with packed lunch. Morning hours can be productive for wildlife activity, with chances to see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other predators during calving season. In the early afternoon, leave Ndutu and travel toward the Ngorongoro Rim or Karatu for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for approximately 5–6 hours of game viewing with packed lunch. Search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and other wildlife. After the crater drive, begin the approximately four-hour journey to Arusha, arriving around 5:30–6:30 pm at your hotel. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
Departure Day
Transfer from Arusha Town to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your onward flight. Most hotels have a maximum check-out time around 10:00 am, although policies vary. If you want to add Kilimanjaro climbing, Zanzibar, or another Tanzania activity, arrangements can be made to extend your trip.
