Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for an overnight stay. You will receive a detailed safari briefing to prepare for your adventure. Accommodation options include a luxury lodge or mid-range hotel, depending on your preference.
Day 1: Arusha to Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast, we depart Arusha and drive to Serengeti National Park with a stop at Ngorongoro Conservation Area for scenic views. Upon reaching the Serengeti, we experience a game drive to witness its incredible wildlife. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, and the famous big cats. Overnight stay in Central Serengeti, either in a lodge or tented camp.
Day 2: Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti – Mara River
Today, we drive from Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti, heading towards the Mara River. The drive takes about 2 to 3 hours, allowing us to enjoy wildlife sightings along the way. We will spend half a day exploring the Mara River area, where the migration occurs. While river crossings are not guaranteed, you will see thousands of wildebeests gathered near the riverbanks. Overnight stay in Northern Serengeti.
Day 3: Full-Day Game Drive in Northern Serengeti – Mara River
We spend the entire day in Northern Serengeti, focusing on the Mara River crossing. Even though sightings of the crossing are a matter of luck, the region offers plenty of action, from massive herds to predator interactions. Later in the afternoon, we drive back to Central Serengeti for an overnight stay.
Day 4: Serengeti Game Drive and Transfer to Ngorongoro
The day starts with an optional hot-air balloon safari, providing an aerial view of the Serengeti plains. After breakfast, we continue with a morning and afternoon game drive, searching for more wildlife encounters. Later, we transfer to Ngorongoro, where you will stay overnight at a lodge on the Ngorongoro Rim or in Karatu.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater Tour and Return to Arusha
After breakfast, we descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This natural wonder is home to the Big Five and a variety of other wildlife. The crater’s lush landscape and year-round water supply attract thousands of animals. In the late afternoon, we drive back to Arusha for an overnight stay.
Departure Day: Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport
Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. If time allows, you may explore Arusha town before your flight.
