Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
Meet your driver at Kilimanjaro Airport and transfer comfortably to Arusha for your overnight stay. Use the evening to relax, settle in, and prepare for your family safari. Your airport transfer can be arranged according to your arrival flight schedule and family needs.
Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Around 7:00 am to 8:00 am, your family will leave Arusha for Tarangire, approximately 2 hours and 109 km away. After entering the park, enjoy game drives among elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, and many bird species. Late afternoon, drive to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Mto wa Mbu/Karatu to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart around 9:00 am to 9:30 am toward Serengeti. Park check-in time depends on your arrival, while the following day you will check out before continuing toward Ndutu. Watch for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and other wildlife in Central Serengeti. Around 5:45 pm to 6:00 pm, drive to your Central Serengeti accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Serengeti Game Drive to Ndutu Area
Have breakfast at your accommodation before beginning morning and afternoon game drives through Serengeti. Look for lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas, and other wildlife. Later, drive to the Serengeti gate for check-out before continuing toward Ndutu. If time allows, enjoy a late-evening game drive around the calving grounds before dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 4: Ndutu Area Full-Day Game Drive
After breakfast, set out for a full-day Ndutu game drive with a packed lunch. During the calving season, watch large concentrations of wildebeest, newborn calves, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other predators drawn to the area. Around 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm, return toward your Ndutu accommodation for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 5: Ndutu Game Drive to Ngorongoro Rim or Karatu
Enjoy an early breakfast, then around 6:20 am begin your morning game drive with a packed lunch. Ndutu can offer excellent opportunities to see wildebeest and calves, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, and other predators during calving season. In the early afternoon, leave Ndutu and drive toward the Ngorongoro Rim or Karatu for dinner and overnight stay. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive to Arusha
After breakfast, descend into Ngorongoro Crater for approximately 5–6 hours of game viewing with a packed lunch. Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and numerous birds. After the crater drive, return to Arusha, approximately 4 hours away, arriving around 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at your hotel. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch.
Departure Day: Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport
Transfer from Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport for your departure flight. Most hotels have a maximum checkout time of around 10:00 am, so plan accordingly. If you want to add Kilimanjaro climbing, Zanzibar, or another Tanzania activity, arrangements can be made to extend your holiday.
