Arrival Day – Kilimanjaro Airport to Arusha
Your driver will meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport and transfer you to Arusha for your overnight stay before the safari. Use this time to rest, prepare your luggage and confirm the next morning’s early departure. Contact us if you need airport pickup or Arusha accommodation arranged.
Day 1 – Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive to Ndutu
You will be picked up early, around 5:00 AM to 5:50 AM, then drive approximately four hours to Ngorongoro Crater. Descend into the crater for a 5–6-hour game drive with packed lunch. Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with luck, black rhinos. Around 2:00–3:00 PM, continue toward Ndutu for dinner and overnight. If you arrive early, an evening game drive may be possible before reaching your accommodation around 6:00 PM. Meals: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2 – Full-Day Ndutu Calving Season Game Drive
After breakfast, begin a full-day game drive across the Ndutu Area with a packed lunch. Explore the short-grass plains, Lake Ndutu, Lake Masek and Big Marsh while searching for wildebeest calves, zebras, lions, cheetahs, hyenas, gazelles and other wildlife. The calving season brings valuable opportunities for observing predator activity and family groups. Around 5:30–6:00 PM, return to your Ndutu accommodation for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3 – Ndutu Morning Game Drive and Return to Arusha
Enjoy an early breakfast before setting out for another Ndutu game drive with packed lunch. Continue looking for newborn wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, lions, cheetahs, hyenas and other animals across the seasonal plains. Around noon, begin driving toward the Ngorongoro Gate before continuing to Arusha, marking the end of your safari. Meals: Breakfast and Lunch.
Departure Day – Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport
Transfer from Arusha to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure. Most hotels have a maximum checkout time of around 10:00 AM. If your flight is later, ask us about additional activities or accommodation. We can also arrange onward plans such as Kilimanjaro climbing or a Zanzibar holiday.
