Day 1: Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Rising: 5,500 ft / 1,700 m to 9,000 ft / 2,740 m | Stretch: 7 km | Hike time: 4–5 hours | Climatic habitat: Montane Forest. Walk through the forest toward Mandara Hut while following the Marangu Route. The day includes Lunch and Dinner, with the mountain team supporting the hiking arrangements.
Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Rising: 9,000 ft / 2,700 m to 12,100 ft / 3,700 m | Stretch: 11 km | Hike time: 6–8 hours | Climatic habitat: Heathland/Moorland. The trail continues toward Horombo Hut through changing vegetation and higher elevations. The meal plan is Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. A steady walking pace helps you manage the increasing altitude.
Day 3: Acclimatization at Horombo Hut
Rising: 12,100 ft to 14,160 ft to 12,100 ft | Stretch: 10 km | Hiking time: 3–5 hours. This acclimatization day allows your body additional time to adjust to altitude before continuing higher. Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate to Moshi
12,100 ft / 3,700 m to 5,500 ft / 1,700 m | Hike time: 5–7 hours | Stretch: 18 km. Descend to Marangu Gate and continue to Moshi Town. After arrival in Moshi, you will be transferred to Arusha for the night. The meal plan is Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 7: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Pickup is planned around 7:00 am to 8:00 am, with the exact time confirmed before departure. The drive to Tarangire takes approximately 2 hours over 109 km. Expect game drives with opportunities to see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and other wildlife. Late afternoon, continue to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 8: Mto wa Mbu/Karatu to Serengeti National Park
You will be picked up from Arusha around 9:00 am to 9:30 am, with the exact time updated before departure. Continue toward Serengeti for a game drive and overnight stay in Central Serengeti. Day 9: Serengeti Game Drive to Ngorongoro Rim
Enjoy a game drive in Serengeti National Park before later driving toward the Serengeti Gate for checkout. Checkout time depends on the applicable check-in time.
