Arrival Day: Kilimanjaro Airport to Moshi Hotel

Day 1: Moshi Town to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut
Rising: 5,500 ft / 1,700 m to 9,000 ft / 2,740 m | Stretch: 7 km | Hike time: 4–5 hours | Climatic habitat: Montane Forest. Begin the Marangu Route through the forest toward Mandara Hut, following the established mountain trail. The day’s walking introduces the Kilimanjaro environment at a manageable pace. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Day 2: Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
Rising: 9,000 ft / 2,700 m to 12,100 ft / 3,700 m | Stretch: 11 km | Hike time: 6–8 hours | Climatic habitat: Heathland/Moorland. Continue from Mandara toward Horombo through changing vegetation and higher mountain terrain. The increasing elevation makes steady walking and appropriate pacing important as you progress deeper into the Kilimanjaro climbing route. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 3: Acclimatization Day at Horombo Hut
Rising: 12,100 ft to 14,160 ft to 12,100 ft | Stretch: 10 km | Hiking time: 3–5 hours. This acclimatization walk allows the body additional time to adjust to altitude before higher sections. Day 4: Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

Day 5: Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

Day 6: Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate to Moshi Town
12,100 ft / 3,700 m to 5,500 ft / 1,700 m | 5–7 hours | 18 km. Descend through the lower mountain environment to Marangu Gate, completing the Kilimanjaro section. After arrival in Moshi, you will be transferred to Arusha for the night stay before the safari portion begins. Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 7: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Pickup: around 7:00 am–8:00 am, with the exact time confirmed before departure. The drive takes approximately 2 hours (109 km). Enjoy a game drive where elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo and other wildlife may be seen. Late afternoon, continue to Mto wa Mbu or Karatu for dinner and overnight stay. Day 8: Mto wa Mbu/Karatu to Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive and Arusha
